Introducing The Mother Lode

I have started a newsletter/blog on Substack called The Mother Lode. If you aren’t aware of Substack, it is a platform that many writers are flocking to as it provides an easy way to disseminate your writing to people who want to read your work. The writer remains in control of what/when/how much they write. There is also a chance for them to earn money via their paid subscription service.

Here are a few articles for those who want to learn more from Forbes, The New York Times, and Politico. Writers like Cheryl Strayed, Roxanne Gay, Andrew Sullivan, and even Garrison Keillor are on the platform. Even some celebrated journalists are leaving institutions like The New York Times to join (most recently, Charlie Warzel).

A free subscription will provide a newsletter per week of my writing. A paid subscription includes everything I post which will include recommendations (including books, articles and podcasts), Friday discussion threads, and additional bonus content like interviews with writers. You also get the chance to know that you are support my work as a writer, which allows me to write in my own voice rather than leasing my creativity to others (via ghostwriting).

If you subscribe, you will receive the newsletter directly to your inbox. You can also go to the site itself and post a comment or reaction, read past issues, and find other Substacks to subscribe to if you are interested.

I hope you’ll join me there!
